The head of the Operations Department in the "Israeli" Navy, (D) which is the first letter of his name, described Hezbollah as a "very smart enemy" because it "drew complete lessons from the Second Lebanon War after it succeeded in hitting the rocket ship ‘Hanit'. Today it is trying to strengthen its abilities for the next war and set targets. Today it has more targets than it had last time around."

The Zionist officer (D) spoke to the Maariv newspaper as his tenure in his current position drew to a close and he prepared to assume the responsibilities of the Assistant Chief of Staff of the Israeli army. He pointed out that the "Hamas" movement always learned from Hezbollah and followed in its footsteps.

"We saw in Operation ‘Protective Edge' how Hamas got to us from the sea in the Zekim area," he said.

"The challenge of diving has become very important. It is a complicated matter and poses a challenge. Hamas is trying to reuse this scenario in the coming confrontation."

While talking about the "Israeli" officer, the newspaper indicated that he matured in the "Shayetet 13" unit, and received the post of deputy commander of the unit. He participated in what is known to the Zionist enemy as the "Shayetet disaster" in the Ansariya ambush.

On this topic, the Israeli officer told the newspaper that "operations like the Ansariya ambush are more complicated, because such an operation involves all the seabed with its arms as well as a lot of the arms of the army." He added that all the concepts and capabilities of the various arms are combined in one operation.

"Shimon Peres told us once during his visit to the Shayetet that the sea has no borders. It almost belongs to all our enemies," he continued, "there is a way to reach the sea and this area can be exploited. In the sea, there are no strict limits.

98 percent of our trade and our economy pass through it. The sea force works in a situation where the strategic wealth that must be defended is doubled, and we seek not to slow down on this reality."

According to Col. (D), the "Israeli" Navy divides its time and organization into several tasks: "the current security, the battle between the wars, the defense of strategic assets, and the most important element is the readiness for the state of emergency."
